Michael Bruce Jones

Michael Bruce Jones, 55 of Daleville, VA, passed away at his home on January 16, 2012. 
He was born in Fairmont, West Virginia to Donald and Martha Kent Jones.
He is survived by his wife Debby, daughter Katie, of the home, stepdaughter Tabbie DeBusk, husband Dave, and two grandchildren, Brooke and Justin, all of Chilhowie, VA. He is also survived by his parents Don and Martha Jones, Mannington, WVA, one sister, Cindy Wyatt and husband Brian, Simpsonville, KY, mother-in-law, Louise McElraft, Saltville, VA,, brother and sister-in-law, Joan, and Charlie Nutter of Campy IN,  He was preceded in death by father-in-law Harry McElraft, Saltville, VA.
Mike was a 1979 graduate of West VA University. He joined AEP as an Electrical Engineer in 1979 working in Huntington and Point Pleasant, WVA. From there he was promoted to Engineering Supervisor and later Fieldale District Manager. He was currently the DDC Manager in Roanoke, VA.
Mike was an avid golfer and member of Ashley Plantation.  He also was a vocal and passionate WVU fan.
Mike was a member of Bonsack United Methodist Church.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 PM Wednesday at Rader Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Morris officiating. He will be buried with his beloved Yellow Lab, Bogey. Donations may be made to Peter Gardner, Ashley Plantation, 919 Greenfield St., Daleville, VA 24083 for a memorial garden in Michael’s memory.
