Vivian Christine Jacobson

Vivian Christine Jacobson, age 83 of Buchanan, formerly of Fairfax, Virginia went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 29, 2023.

Vivian was born March 16, 1939 in Cane Creek, South Carolina and lived the past seven years in Buchanan. She lived most of her life in Fairfax where she was a licensed insurance agent prior to her retirement in 1995. Vivian attended Daleville Baptist Church and enjoyed her cats Bella and Tucker.

Preceded in death by her parents: James E. Rockholt and Helen G. England Shawker; her sister, Jonnie Rayon; and the love of her life of fifty-two years, her husband David J. Jacobson, Sr.; she is survived by her son, David (Toni) Jacobson Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law: Helen and David Menefee, and Tracey and Jason Hogancamp of Buchanan; grandchildren: Michael (Allyson) Menefee, Shannon (Jason) Titus, Alyssa (Joseph) Sirk, Kelly (Stephen) Zalaskus, Sara Buchanan (Robert Bartunek), Brandi (Michael) Paulus, Jacob (Brittany) Buchanan, Jason Hogancamp Jr., and Lade Hogancamp; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Ekdahl of Lincolnton, North Carolina.

A celebration of Vivian’s life will be 1:00pm, Saturday March 11 at Daleville Baptist Church, 375 Orchard Drive Daleville with Rev. Dr. Wesley Belcher officiating. A private inurnment will take place at National Memorial Park in West Falls Church, Virginia. Vivian’s family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
