Sue Ann Sparks

Sue Ann Sparks, age 76 of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at The Harmony Collection at Roanoke-Memory Care.

Sue was born September 15, 1945 in Eagle Rock and lived in the Eagle Rock and Buchanan areas all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Raymond D. and Louise Barnes Harlow. Sue enjoyed her pets, reading, country music and her flower gardens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Sparks, Sr.; and brothers: Fred Hostetter, Robert Barnes, and Linzie Barnes. Sue is survived by her son, Paul Jr. (Lynda) Sparks of Roanoke; daughter, Cindy (Calvin) Lester of Buchanan; brother, Delbert Harlow of Eagle Rock; sister, Minnie H. Craft of Eagle Rock; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Sue’s life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 5 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Ben Peyton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Saturday.
