On Saturday January 14, 2023, Milton R. Hale passed away and is no longer without the love of his life Judy. There was never a better example of what a husband, father, grandfather, or man should be. The legacy he has left is immeasurable. He often questioned whether or not he had done enough. To that, we answer, more than enough. He was the go-to-guy for everyone.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Judy and his son-in-law Ronnie "Roach" Secrist. He is survived by his children: Milton Robert "Jay" Hale, Jr. and his former wife Lisa, Sheila Secrist, Allison (Sturlen) Vaughan; dear friend and sister-in-law, Barbara Bell Tatum; brother-in-law, Joseph K.Tatum; and sister-in-law, Libby T. Joyce.
While Milton loved his children, they took second seat to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandchildren: Chris (Hannah) Hale, Brandon Hale, Elizabeth (Seth) Miller, Brittni (Vincent) Queen, Dr. Sydney (Gregory) Doss, Romie Muse, and Britton Secrist; great-grandchildren: Robert and Emmett Hale, Lucas, Lia, Evie, and Abigail Miller, Landyn Dinkel, and Sara Catherine Doss.
Special thanks to Carilion 10th floor palliative care.
