Michael James Zarobinski

Michael James Zarobinski, age 30 of Botetourt, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 25, 2022.

Michael was born in Frederick, Maryland and lived in the Botetourt-Roanoke area most of his life. He attended Lord Botetourt High School and enjoyed making people laugh and working with his hands. Michael liked music, video games, and the outdoors-especially fishing and kayaking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Zarobinski; grandparents: Edward Zarobinski, James R. Reed, and Judy C. Reed; and several aunts and uncles. Michael is survived by his parents, Bridget and David Reed of Fincastle; his brother, Edward (Becky) Zarobinski of Copper Hill, Virginia; sisters: Erica Reed of Cloverdale; Nichole Zarobinski (Donald Hines) of Roanoke, and Susan (Eric) Byrd of Troutville; grandparents: James and Bridget Reed of Roanoke, and Eileen Zarobinski of Florida; nephews and nieces: Jessika, Brent, Josilyn, Edward, Amara, and Zane; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 2 at Church of the Transfiguration, 7624 Roanoke Road Fincastle with Rev. Fr. Stephen McNally officiating. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Diocesan Cemetery. Michael’s family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville 6-8pm Friday.
