Margaret Jewel Rader Webb, 98, of Botetourt County, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born on December 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Karl E. Rader and Lucile Landers Rader. She attended New Bethel Church of the Brethren in her early years and later the Troutville Church of the Brethren. She was baptized on November 11, 1934.

She retired from the successor to First National Bank of Troutville in 1986. She started her career in banking there in 1943 as a bookkeeper and secretary and retired as the Vice President and Manager of the bank with forty-three years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Webb and her sister, Carla Rader Wright Campbell. She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Bob Woodie of Troutville, Barbara and Don Divers of Roanoke, and brother and sister-in-law Jack and Gale Rader of Troutville , and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue and Sam Sprinkel of Daleville, and a number of dear and special nieces and nephews: Rebekah Woodie, Mark Woodie, the late Richard Newton, Donna Newton Clayton Lyle, Karl Newton, John Rader, David Rader, Mary Beth Rader Dunkenberger, Matthew Rader, Andrew Rader; great nieces and nephews: Keith Cook, Rachel Cook, Kristin Clayton Moffett, John Clayton, Adam Woodie, Daniel Rader, Annaleigh Rader, Will Dunkenburger, Alex Dunkenburger, Jack Dunkenburger, Wit Rader, Thomas Rader, Ben Rader, Simon Rader, Harrison Rader, George Rader, Josh Bare, Lindsay Niven, Hillary Morris; and great-great nieces and nephews: Cora Meadows, Wade Meadows, Aiden Woodie, Paisley Woodie, Asher Woodie, Margaret Moffett, Sam Moffett, Thomas Clayton, Jack Clayton, Evelyn Clayton, Liam Morris, Grady Morris, and Archer Niven. Margaret was a beloved aunt by all her nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for the family will be held at Mill Creek Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Troutville Church of the Brethren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Troutville Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 156, Troutville, VA 24175. The family would like to express their appreciation to The Glebe Community and to Good Samaritan Hospice for their care of Margaret in the final stages of her life.
