Frank E. Lee

Franklin (Frank) Everett Lee, 84, of Botetourt County, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Lewis Gale Hospital.
He was born February 8, 1934 in Covington, Va. to the late Erskine H. Lee and Willie Oyler Lee. Frank was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay Thrasher; and eight siblings.
He was a Sherriff Deputy and Corrections officer for Botetourt County, as well as worked and retired from Cahoon’s Florist. Frank was a member of the VFW and served four years in the United States Navy. He enjoyed helping his wife around the house and yard work.
Frank is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosemary L. Lee; two daughters, Loretta L. Bourne of Fincastle and Teresa L. Sawyer of Roanoke; grandchildren, Jayson Blair Parr, of Fincastle, Kristi L. Flick, of Fincastle, Daniel L. Sawyer and wife, Allison, of Catawba, and Ashley D. Sawyer, of Sarasota, Fla.; great grandson, Logan Everett Sawyer; and son-in-law, R. Conway Thrasher, of Belews Creek, N.C.
A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the funeral home.
