Esther Mukakabano

Esther Mukakabano, age 64, of Roanoke Virgnia (Formerly of Burundi, Bujumbura) passed away unexpectedly Monday March 18, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes – Barre Pennsylvania.

Esther was born November 5, 1959, in Burundi, Bujumbura. Esther worked as a housekeeper in Schools to provide for herself and her family. She was a member of the Seventh – Day Adventist Church in Roanoke. Esther had a passion for caring for her family and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t spending time with her family Esther loved gardening vegetables of all kinds.

Esther is described as a strong, self – sufficient, and hardworking by her family. Esther’s children have numerous memories of their mother’s perseverance and devotion to providing all of them with a better life than she had lived herself and making sure they had promising beginning at life.

Esther is survived by her children: Asira Nimukuze, James Ahorukomeye, Claudine Katete, Claude Mukiza, and John Subukino; grandchildren: Asher Hertier, Esther Claudette, Claudia Ahorukomeye, Malachi De Dieu, Melclwzedek De Deus, and Avan Ahorukomeye.
   

A Celebration of Esther’s life will be 10:30 AM Sunday March 24, 2024, at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville, Virginia. family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday March 23, 2024 at Rader Funeral Home.
