Edna Mae Brogan Bolton, 95, of the Trinity Community, Troutville, died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Carrington Place.
She was a longtime member of Trinity Church of the Brethren, where she served in many capacities, including Deacon and Chairman of the Church Board. She was very active in her community and was the last surviving member of the Fincastle High School Class of 1941.
Edna operated a dairy farm following her husband's death and later was employed by General Electric, Salem. She was affectionately known as "The Cake Lady," as she loved to share her baking skills on any occasion.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, C. Woodrow Bolton, her parents, Jabe and Mae Brogan, her brother, Lonnie Brogan and her sisters, Betty Michales, and Judy Smith; and is survived by several nephews, nieces, and many friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, October 26 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Pastor Pete Bain officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon.
