In Loving Memory of Bradley D. Hughston

Bradley D. Hughston, beloved son, brother, and caretaker, passed away at the age of 50 on Sunday, February 18th, 2024.  His departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Born on August 17th, 1973, as a caretaker, he extended his hands and heart to those in need, offering support, comfort, and love to those who required it most. Whether it was looking after a friend, or a stranger, Brad approached his role with humility, leaving a lasting impact on those lives.

Brad earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech.  Beyond his role as a caretaker, Brad was a soul who dove head first into his interests; including making music, blacksmithing and marksmanship. He found solace and peace in the beauty of these activities.

Brad will be deeply missed by his family, including his parents, Gladys and Jerry Hughston, and his brother Whit Hughston. He will also be fondly remembered by his niece and nephews, and friends whose lives were better for knowing him.

Though Brad may no longer walk among us, his spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him well. May he rest in eternal peace.
