Anna Jean Hall

Anna Jean Hall, age 97 of Fincastle, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Carrington Place of Botetourt Commons following a brief illness.

Anna was born April 1, 1925 in Wise County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late William H. and Bessie Mullins Robinette. Anna was a Licensed Practical Nurse for forty-five years, working for Catawba Hospital and later for The Brian Center in retirement. She was Presbyterian and was an excellent cook.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Hall; daughter, Geraldine Lawson; and brothers: Maynard Robinette, Ernest Robinette, Ralph Robinette, and Ed Robinette. She is survived by her grandchildren: Dr. Lianna Lawson of Fincastle, John (Jill) Lawson of Fincastle, and Dr. David (Amy) Lawson of Orlando, Florida; great-grandchildren: Katie Lawson, Anna Lawson, James Lawson, Dorothy Lawson, Grace Lawson, Avery Word, Benjamin Lawson, Owen Lawson, Abby Lawson, and Joshua Lawson; and her sister, Mary Morgan of Coeburn, Virginia.

A graveside service honoring Anna’ life will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 11 at Daleville Cemetery with Pastor Sam Huntley officiating. There will be no visitation.
