Dear Elwood and family, Your Mom was a special person who will be missed by many. My family greatly enjoyed her office visits and appreciated her visits to my Grandmother when she was at the Brian Center. Mrs. Jones lit up a room when she came in! She was very helpful to me in sharing history and photographs of your family. Gone, but not forgotten.

Ms Malanie was such an important part of Fincastle. We will all mourn her passing, but take comfort in knowing she's home at last.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Jones passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her at Carrington place a few years ago when my mother lived there. Mother was very ill and Mrs. Jones was across the hall from her, she came over and offered to pray with us for mother. I might add mother passed a little bit later that day, but I'll never forget the kindness and warm prayers of Mrs. Jones that day. I truly hope someone did the same for her. God Bless.
Message from The E.A. Graybill
February 22, 2017 7:08 PM

The family of the late E.A. (June) Graybill would like to express our sincere sympathy on the loss of Mrs. Jones. Her mother, Sarah Parker, was a caretaker for our husband and father, the late June Graybill. Prior to her death, she had requested that June put a single rose on her casket, which he did, with love and respect.
Sincerely,
The Graybill Family

Elwood, Virgina Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more free comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. If you wish to contact me at: ikeyes@msn.com

Over the years I had the privilege of setting and talking to Malanie on several occasions. either at my house or hers. She would always have a story to tell that would allow me to forget my depression and enjoy laughing a while.

We will miss Malanie's smile and hugs. She was one of my mother's,
Alethea George, best friends. I don't think Malanie ever met a stranger.
She was one of God's angels and we will miss her.
God bless you all.

Family,

Though my heart is heavy, I will celebrate the memory of Grandma Malanie. One thing I'll never forget, is her sense of humor. Even as her health began to waver, she still had away to make you laugh. Knowing she loved the Lord, gives me a sense of peace that she is with the Lord, and now watching us all. I will miss her humor on this side, but I know when we meet again, she will have some fresh ones waiting. Love you all and may God Bless you and your families.

With God's Love,

Aaron Adams

Melanie was a good friend to me and my family. She lived just up the street from us. She always had a smile on her face and she would always wave to my Dad, Sonny Crowder, when he was sitting on our porch. I visited with her several times at the Carrington Place when Mom was there for therapy. She was a great lady and will be missed!!
