Barbara Limberger

Barbara Limberger, 75, formerly of Botetourt, died Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg following a long illness.

Barbara was born in Elliston June 11, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Robert B. and Dove Weaver Duncan. She lived in the Roanoke Valley most of her life.

Barbara was the personal secretary of Mr. Taubman at Advance Auto for many years. She was employed with Merrill Lynch and later with Ameriprise Financial as a Certified Financial Planner. Barbara was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed music and singing, flower gardening, cooking, and especially her dogs.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 35 years, James A. Limberger; son and daughter-in-law Robert M. and Cathy Pinkard of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law DeAnn and Mark McElroy of Woodburn, Kentucky; and her grandchildren, John Mark McElroy and Jordan Marie McElroy.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 21 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville with Reverend Kristie Miles officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
