Wesley Lindburgh Moran Sr.

Wesley Lindburgh Moran, Sr., age 93 of Troutville, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Wesley was born in Catawba November 2, 1927 and lived in the area all of his life. He was the son the late Edgar L. and Jesse C. Lowery Moran. Wesley was a farmer, carpenter, and janitor who enjoyed Westerns and Gunsmoke. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by his two grandsons: Bobby Moran and DJ Moran; and his wife, Ruby A. Spence Moran. He is survived by his sons: Jake (Doris) Moran of Fincastle, Petie Moran of Craig County, and Donnie Moran of Troutville; daughter Janice (James) Crawford of Fincastle; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Ruth (Richard) McFalls of Roanoke, Rosemary Lee of Fincastle, and Irene Moran of Roanoke.

Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the family requests you respect their wish to keep the visitation and service private. The service will be livestreamed at 1:00pm Monday, December 28 at www.rader-funeralhome.com/tributes/Wesley-Moran. A public graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Mt. Union Cemetery, 4614 Catawba Road Troutville with Pastor Elmer Clemons officiating.
