Pauline Puckett Goad

Pauline Puckett Goad, 83, of Roanoke, died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at The Berkshire Healthcare Center in Vinton following a long illness.

Pauline was born in Roanoke March 2, 1934 and was the daughter of the late James Robert and Stella Lee Minnix Puckett. She lived in the area all her life.

Pauline was a seamstress and worked in the garment industry for many years. She was a member of Church of God of Roanoke; enjoyed gardening, sewing, and making dolls.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her son Jerry Beckner and granddaughter Kimberly Beckner. She is survived by her husband Douglas Wayne Goad; sons Richard and Donald Beckner both of Roanoke, and Edward Beckner of Goodview; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside service honoring Pauline’s life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 8 at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, 7271 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke. The family will receive friends Wednesday 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville.
