Patricia Ann Hutchens "Patsy" Herndon

Patricia Ann Hutchens “Patsy” Herndon, age 70 of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018.

Patsy was born May 14, 1948 in Roanoke and lived in the area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jack J. and Mary L. Whorley Hutchens.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter Tracy Herndon and her brother John Michael Hutchens. She is survived by her husband Jerry Herndon, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law Jerry Jr. and Fredrika Herndon of Roanoke; granddaughter Brooke; brothers Jack Hutchens and Paul Hutchens; sisters Jeannie Workman, Pamela Vandergrift, and Alvie Thurston; and Greg Flowers who was like a son to her.

Graveside services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, October 30 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road, Roanoke with Pastor John Broughman officiating. Patsy’s family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville Tuesday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.
