Mark Edward Wood

Mark E. Wood, age 60 of Troutville, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday July 14, 2022.

Mark was born July 13, 1962 to his parents Robert E. and Priscilla W. Wood in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has lived most of his life in Botetourt area after his family moved to Virginia in 1964.

Mark enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, guns, watching basketball, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. He is described by family and friends as “a great family man” and was known for being a “jack of all trades”. Mark was a mechanic by trade and helped his dad run Troutville Automotive. He was also a member at Mountain View Baptist Church.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Wood. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Pam Wood; his mother: Priscilla W. Wood, son, Michael Wood; brother and sister-in-law: Dean (Teresa) Wood; special nephew: Christopher (Carrie) Wood; special niece: Jennifer Wood all of Troutville, and many other loving family and friends.

A service celebrating Mark’s life will be 2:00 PM Monday July 18, 2022 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Pastor Chris Kingery officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service beginning at 2 PM. Burial will take place at Haymakertown Cemetery immediatly following the service.
