Malcolm “Mike” Watts, Jr., 66 of Blue Ridge, died Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home following a long illness.
Mike was born in South Boston October 20, 1951 and is the son of the late Malcolm H. Watts and Corrine Duffey Watts, who survives.
He was a truck driver and drove for Trailer Bridge Trucking and also drove the Digital Mobile Mammography truck. Mike loved all kinds of animals and raised an injured baby deer to adulthood which still visits his home to this day. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar.
In addition to his father, Mike was preceded in death by his wife Cheree Roberts Watts. He is survived by his mother Corrine Watts; brother Garrett Watts and sister Sharon Watts both of Blue Ridge.
A service honoring Mike’s life will be 11:00 am, Friday July 13 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. Burial will be at Daleville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
