Loyd H. Cahoon

Loyd H. Cahoon, age 90 of Fincastle, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home.

Loyd was born in Fincastle where he lived and was a dairy farmer all of his life. He was the son of the late Earl G. and Annabelle Tucker Cahoon.

In addition to his parents, Loyd was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Zell Cahoon and daughter Connie Mundy. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Karen Cahoon of New Castle; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister Charlotte McClung of Troutville; and very special niece, Jackie Stevens of Fincastle.

A celebration of Loyd’s life will be 1:00pm Saturday, January 12 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon.
