Linda L. Johnsen

Linda L. Johnsen, age 75 of Daleville, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, November 6, 2022 off of the coast of California aboard the Crown Princess.

Linda was born in Tupelo, Mississippi August 1, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Charles Cecil and Byvirl Louise Mackey Smith. She lived in Daleville the past fourteen years.

Linda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, retired as a supervisor for Bank of America after 20 years of service, and was a member of Roanoke Newcomers. She enjoyed travel (especially cruises), playing cards, and her pride and joy, grandson Nathan.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers: Johnny Smith and Charles Smith; and her sister, Vadean Murray. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William C. Johnsen; son, Michael Johnsen of Daleville; daughter and son-in-law, Ashleigh and Barak Fisher of Salem; grandson, Nathan; nephews and nieces: David White, Tamara (Melissa Rousseaux) Murray, Shane (Terri-Lynn) Smith, Jodi (Heath) Brignac; and a host of very close friends.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be 3pm Saturday, November 19 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2011 Brandon Avenue SW Roanoke with Pastor David Skole officiating. Friends will be received at the church, 4-7pm Friday and 2-3pm Saturday.
