LaJuana Freeman, age 79 of Daleville, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
LaJuana was born September 24, 1939 in Amarillo, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Red and Myrtle Lucille Alderson Corbella and lived in Daleville for 14 years.
LaJuana was a retired mortgage banker, enjoyed travelling, and played the piano. She was a member of Ashley Plantation Lady’s Golf Club.
LaJuana is survived by her husband of 61 years Alvin Freeman; son, Ryan Freeman(Mary Margaret Grieco) of Roseville, California; daughters: Karen (Paul) Klasing of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Waurayne (Gary) Cooper of Roanoke, and Cathy (Jeff) Hull of Discovery Bay, California; grandchildren: Paige (Christopher) McKeown, James (Mariem) Johnson, Hayley (Billy) Huffman, Blake Johnson (Megan Long), Jeffrey (Jessica) Hull, Jason (Autumn) Hull, and Justin Hull; great-grandchildren: Ellie Huffman, Alara Johnson, and Teagan and Kaylee Hull; sisters Waurayne Cole and Nancy (Jesus) Molinar all of Vacaville, California.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11:00am Friday, November 9 at Church of the Transfiguration, 7624 Roanoke Road Fincastle with Rev. Fr. Stephen McNally officiating. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville 6-8pm Thursday.
