Khamphouang “Kham” Phetsarath, age 41, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Kham was born May 22, 1979 in Nong Khai, Thailand and has lived in the area for 30 years. He was the son of Sithat Phetsarath and Souriyanh Boulom Phetsarath.
Kham was an automobile mechanic, most recently for Priority Honda in Roanoke. He enjoyed working on cars and watching movies, especially the Fast and Furious series.
In addition to his parents, Kham is survived by his wife, Samantha Moore; son, Christopher Phetsarath of Roanoke; daughters: Alena Fornecker (Jesse Tabor) of Roanoke County and Meaghan Phetsarath of Roanoke; step-children: Taylor Phanasa, Haylea Moore, and Nicholas Inthipab; granddaughter, Delia Fornecker; sisters, Linda Phetsarath (Andre Hunter), and Aeddieka (Kham) Sonexay all of Harrisonburg; his niece Kristie Sonexay (Osman Velasquez) of Harrisonburg; nephews: Karmine Hunter and Karmelo Hunter both of Harrisonburg; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.
A celebration of Kham’s life will be 2:00pm, Saturday January 23 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Ben Peyton officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 pm Friday and from 12:00 noon until the time of the service Saturday.
