Kayla Nicole Sumner

Kayla Nicole Sumner, age 28, was taken from us unexpectedly Wednesday, November 8, 2021.

Kayla was born in Roanoke and lived in the area all of her life. She was the daughter of Kevin Curtis Sumner and Belinda L. Ayers who survive. Kayla enjoyed fashion, art, music, and was a published poet.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brooklynn Elizabeth Bryant. In addition to her parents, Kayla is survived by her daughter Abigail Brooklynn Bryant and her father, Matthew Bryant; and her aunt, Rhonda LaPorte.

A celebration of Kayla’s life will be announced later.
