Karen "Ski" Skorupski

Karen “Ski” Skorupski, age 70 of Bedford, passed away suddenly at Springtree Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Karen was born May 31, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Edmund and Adeline Grzasko Kurosky; and had lived in the area since 1999. She served as a secretary at Munson Hospital in Michigan for a number of years and at the Peaks of Otter in the gift boutique after moving to Virginia. She was proud of her Polish heritage and loved animals, especially dogs.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey James Skorupski; and a sister, Connie Carman. She is survived by her granddaughter, Myah Skorupski; sisters: Paula M. Donahue of Roanoke, Pamela M. Wefel of Blue Ridge, and Glorea M. Barnes of Farmington, Michigan.

Karen’s family will receive friends 2-4pm Wednesday, March 15 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville.
