Joann Dunbar

Joann Dunbar, age 55, of Goodview, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Joann was born in Roanoke May 21, 1968 and lived in the area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Paul O. and Viola L. Wright Harrison. She enjoyed gardening, painting, reading, and loved all of her animals.

In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her brother, James Harrison; sisters: Mary Lee and Betty Hawkins. She is survived by her fiancé, Jerry Cundiff of Goodview; sons: Edward Dunbar (Brittany Roatenberry) of Troutville, and Matthew (Anna) Dunbar of Swansboro, North Carolina; grandchildren: Autumn Dunbar, Isaac Dunbar, Everly Dunbar, and Zoe Cundiff; brothers: Paul (Millie) Harrison, of New Castle, and John Harrison of Roanoke; sisters: Vicky (Cary Newbill) Wymer of Thaxton, and Barbara Morris of Roanoke; many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.
