James Matthew “J.M.” McNabb, age 58 of Salem, passed away peacefully at home Monday, November 30, 2020.
James was born in Trenton, New Jersey September 20, 1962 and lived in the Roanoke and Salem area most of his life. He was the son of James F. McNabb and the late Mary A. Murphy McNabb.
James was a home theater installer for Sound Decisions for many years and enjoyed golf, croquet, the Dallas Cowboys and Notre Dame football.
James is survived by his wife of nine years, Judy L. Myers McNabb; son, Patrick McNabb of Salem; daughters, Jaime McNabb of Roanoke and Suzanna (Bubba Weldon) McNabb of Santa Fe, New Mexico; step-children: Derek (Tonya) Ballard of Fincastle and Tasha (Jessie) Lacks of Bonsack; step-grandchildren: Emily, Ethan, and Elana Ballard, Tiffany Bennett, and Xander Lacks; a sister, Charlotte (Bob) Hutchison of Chattanooga, Tennessee and their children: Ruairi and Keir Hutchison; and many numerous family and friends.
A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday December 8 at St. Andrew’s Diocesan Cemetery, 3601 Salem Turnpike Roanoke with Rev. Fr. Stephen McNally officiating. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home 630 Roanoke Road Daleville, 2-4 & 6-8pm Monday.
