Grace Audrey Black

In the presence of family, friends and an outpouring of love, Grace Audrey Black passed on March 23, 2022.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 30, 1935, Grace devoted her life to her husband and their large family.

Grace joins her husband of 62 years, Gary Vance Black. In 1954, Grace met Gary in South Texas. They went on to marry six months later. They explored the continent together for twenty years with the United States Navy before returning to Gary’s hometown of Roanoke in 1972.

Grace is survived by her son Michael and wife Sharon of Dallas, Texas; her son Mark and wife Patty; her daughter Dana (Musgrove) and husband Mark of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; her son Darin and wife Denise; her daughter Terri (Sparks) and husband Patrick; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and many close friends.
