Tribute

GEORGIANNA MARTIN was born to Harry and Estelle Kyle on September 29, 1930. In Fincastle, Virginia. She attended school at academy Hill High School, Fincastle, Virginia.

Georgianna received the Lord at an early age and was taught to treat others how you would want to be treated and believing the word of God and to standing firm to his word until he changes the situation and that was her belief until the final call was given over her life on February 7th.  At the age of 92 she knew what God’s grace and mercy was over her life and it was so strong she could hear the heavenly choir singing your grace and mercy even in her final days here on earth. She would often say to us they are playing my song you can’t hear it but I can. Lord I thank you for your GRACE!

Georgianna was preceded in death by her husbands: Leroy Merchant and Randall Martin, and son Harry B Merchant, along with her parents, 2 sisters, Carrie Toliver, Alice Kyle, and 3 brothers Charlie Thomas, George Thomas and James Kyle Sr. Left to honor her memories is her daughter Gertlene Kyle Barbee and 3 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren: Charisma Merchant (Carrington Jayag-Caldwell, Memphis Jayag-Caldwell), Christopher Merchant (Marcus Merchant, Maliyah Merchant, Charmian Merchant (Dylan Merchant-Blankenship, Aubrea Davis, Myles Davis); and a host of nephews and nieces that she loved dearly as her own: Richard Toliver Sr. James Kyle Jr., and Ray Kyle, Carl Johnson, Linnie Thomas, Estelle Burrell, Edna Toliver, Martha Toliver, Audrey Toliver, Carrie Toliver also a host of other beautiful great-nieces and nephews that she cherished so much.

“Georgianna (Doll Baby),
The family thanks you for your loyalty, dedication and persistence in making sure we all turn the right corners in life your love for us will last a lifetime.
Ecclesiastes 3 1:3
1To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
Today we dance with rejoicing in our heart!

The Family!”
