George Lee Kosko

George Lee Kosko, age 82 of Roanoke and Hancock, New York, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019.

George was a professional golfer and played many PGA tournaments. He also had a love for flying in his 1949 Navion or his Beechcraft Baron. George often flew country music stars George Jones, Merle Haggard, as well as Glenn Campbell and Tanya Tucker.

Preceded in death by his parents George and Elizabeth Kosko and his twin brother Paul, he is survived by his sons: George Jr. (Betty), Sam (Annie), and Brian (Angela); daughter Janice; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his sister: Jeanne (Robley) Light; and a brother, Jimmy; and special friend Betty Kaplan.

A memorial service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 14 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Ben Peyton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 6:00 pm.
