Garland Emmett Taylor

Garland Emmett Taylor, age 66, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.    

Garland was born in Roanoke and lived in Botetourt all of his life. He was the son of the late Hubert H. and Lorene E. Taylor.

Garland was a cook most of his life and he worked at Truckstop Restaurant, Howard Johnson, and worked at many other restaurants as a cook.

In addition to his parents Garland was preceded in death by his brothers: Dickey Toliver and Rodney Taylor.    

Garland is survived by his brothers: Douglas Leon Taylor, of San Diego, CA, James (Terri) Toliver, Cornelius Elton Taylor, Albert Stanley Taylor, and Christopher Alonzo Taylor all of Daleville, Arnold Ross Taylor of Roanoke; many loving nieces, nephews; and his longtime friend David Small.

Family and friends will be received 6-8 pm, Tuesday May 7 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville.
