Dennis Franklin Smith

Dennis Franklin Smith, age 43 of Botetourt County passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Dennis was born in Bristol, Tennessee October 17, 1979 and lived in Botetourt the past seven years. He was the son of the late Dennis Smith and Betty Jean Sourbeer Wood who survives.

Dennis was a welder who enjoyed tinkering and fishing.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his uncles: Terry Lynn Smith and Jackie Smith. Dennis is survived by his special friend, Dee Jay Mathes of Buchanan; daughter, Katelin Dowell of Johnson City, Tennessee; grandson, Kayden Luka Courtney; his mother Betty Jean Wood of Gate City, Virginia; brother, Adam Smith of Bristol, Tennessee; and sisters: Nicky Smith and Brittany Smith.

Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
