Daniel Frederick Dombrosky

Daniel Frederick Dombrosky, 77, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family at home.

Dan was born on October 29, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Leo and Vernie MacCleary Dombrosky. On October 16, 1965, Dan married Rena Rice and God blessed their marriage with three children. Dan had a strong work ethic and provided well for his family. He enjoyed participating in sports and all activities with a highly competitive spirit. He loved handball, golf, fishing, and hunting with his dog Dancer. Dan was generous with advice and he was even more generous in encouragement and kindness to anyone in need. His family and friends will always know his strong love for them.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rena Rice Dombrosky; three beloved children, Dan (Evette) of Urbandale, IA, Darren (Michelle) of Olathe, KS, and Kiersten (Greg) Harris of Mount Airy, MD. He was a proud “Pappy” to grandchildren: Tom, Katie (Jake), Sarah, Joe, Drew, and Drake, and Great Grand Pappy to Evelyn. He is also survived by his sister Bonnie and brothers: Dave, Bernie, Bob, and Jim. Dan has many more relatives and friends left to honor him.

The mass of Christian burial will be offered 10:00 AM, Friday June 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 10 Kane Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15243 with Rev. Father John Gallagher officiating. Interment will take place at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, 301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 immediately following mass.
