Connie H. Brogan

Connie H. Brogan, age 74 of Roanoke County, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Lewis Gale Medical Center following a brief illness.

Connie was born in Springton, West Virginia February 24, 1945 and lived in the Roanoke area for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Myrtle Marie Arther Horne and retired from ITT in 2012 after ten years of service.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her infant son, Darryl Lynn Brogan; and her sister, Shelby Huffman. She is survived by her husband of 55 years. Roger L. Brogan; son, Randy Brogan and Melissa Blank of Lake Anna, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Rhonda Moore of Roanoke County, and Vicki and Stephen Eastman of Buchanan; grandchildren: Lee Brogan, Patricia Young, Stephanie Millholland, Luke Brogan, Scott Moore, Kacie Moore, Shannon Tyler, Jennifer West, Jamie Young, and Alex Eastman; great-grandchildren: Cole Brogan, Molly Brogan, Blake Brogan, Jackson Young, Charlotte Young, Harper Moore, Colton West, McKenna West, Joanna West, and Lucy Tyler; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary Horne and Sylvia of Elgin, South Carolina, and Terry and Rhonda Horne of Buchanan; sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and Gene Williamson of Nace; and twin sister and best friend, Bonnie Weeks of Roanoke County.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be 2:00 Friday, July 26 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Pastor Milton Atkins officiating. Burial will be at Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, 5-8 pm.
