I was so sorry to learn of the demise of Dr. Chester I. Jordan. As one of the Founders of The Family Jordan in 1989, I feel a deep loss for long time Members and Supporters of our Jordan Family Organization. Chester Jordan epitomized those attributes that allowed us to exist and grow for nearly three generations. Rest in Peace.

Dr. Chet was one of the best Directors our drama ever had. He was kind, understanding and truly a professional.
He took our performances to so many places. Even the 1982 World's Fair in Gattlenburg, Tenneesee. Many people asked us to stay for another day because we were the best that America had to offer.
I thank the Jordan family for the time they shared him with us.
From the 564 SATW Veteran Castmembers we would like to say from our hearts to the Jordan family. "THANK YOU "

Marla, Jennifer, and Suzanne,
We were so sorry and shocked to hear about Chet's passing. He was a wonderful man a a good friend over the years. We enjoyed getting together with you a few times after we moved over here and wish we could have seen you more. He certainly had a good life and I like to think of his humor with his own parting comment, "Chet has left the building" :)

I am so sorry to hear about "Dr. J". I was so privileged to have had him as my professor at Pembroke. Not only was he a great teacher, he was like an uncle to me. I spent many hours in in office talking about life. Time I'm sure he had other better things to do.

I will always remember my time at Pembroke and the shows I worked on with Dr. J. I still appreciate all he taught me inside and outside of class. I'm sure he had the same influence on others as well.

May God Bless You All.

Sorry for your loss! I was a student in Dr. Jordan's theater class years ago, and he was a great professor. He really was a "people person" and went out of his way to help students. He earned a great reputation at UNC-Pembroke and will be missed.

My deepest condolences. Dr. Jordan was a wonderful man and he was a mentor to me. A great teacher that departs from this earth never truly leaves. He is still alive in our hearts and minds; through us, he lives on. He helped shape who I am and I am one of many. Kim Asa, Class of 1995
