Betty Jo Brogan Huffman

Betty Jo Brogan Huffman, age 85 of Roanoke passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Betty was born in Beckley, West Virginia and lived in the Roanoke area for 35 years. She was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Francis May Byrd Brogan.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Huffman; son, Ricky Dunbar and daughter, Laura Ward; and grandson: Mitchell Mills and Michael Ward. She is survived by her son, Charles (Tammy) Dunbar of Buchanan; daughter, Diane (James) Mills of Roanoke; grandchildren: Jessica Dunbar, Jeremy Dunbar, Daniel Dunbar, Stephanie Owens, and Ashliegh Ward; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Dunbar of Franklin County, and Lula (Freddie) Young of Roanoke.

A service honoring Betty’s life will be 1:00pm Thursday, August 11 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville. Burial at Godwin Cemetery will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Thursday.
