Belva Lee Dalton Moran, a loving mother, grandmother, and doting great-grandmother, age 92 of Botetourt, went home to see the many waiting on her at the gates of heaven Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Carrington Place of Botetourt.
Born September 20, 1930, Belva graduated Fincastle High School and was a devoted homemaker to her predeceased husband, Garland Lee Moran. She is survived by two sons: Michael (Darlene) Moran, and Paul (Vicky) Moran; two granddaughters: Kelley (Chris), and Crystal (Sam); and two great-grandchildren: Jacob and Hailey. Oh, how she enjoyed visits from those two great-grandchildren.
A lifelong resident of Botetourt County, she loved to cook and watch the birds on the feeder outside her dining room window. She loved gardening and when a regular garden became unmanageable for her, she was known to have vegetables growing in the flower beds near the door. The highlight of her year was the Thanksgiving and the Christmas Holidays when she could gather her family around the table covered with food she had prepared. She will be missed.
Due to concerns dealing with COVID-19, a graveside service will held 2:00pm Wednesday, January 18 at Mt. Union Cemetery in Troutville.
