Shocked to hear about my friend Bob. Enjoyed so very much chatting about Tech football and basketball at the Kirk Ymca with him.

I have lost a true, long time friend. We were team mates on Virginia Tech baseball teams in the 60's and remained close and loyal friends for 50 years. We enjoyed many rounds of golf together, Hokie football and basketball games together, and many good meals at the all time restaurant Country Cookin'. I am still in shock over this loss, and I will never get over it. Bob was one the kindest, gentlest people I ever knew. He and Vera were quite a team.

I had the honor and privilege pf playing many rounds of golf with Bob. Always enjoyed our time together. I will miss our conversations of traveling to Ireland and Scotland.
