Michael G. Fralin, 59, of Troutville, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 28, 2018.
Michael was born August 17, 1958 and was the son of the late Dr. Gordon Wayne and Mary Jane Ingram Fralin. He lived in Botetourt County most of his life.
Michael owned Top Notch Amusement and was a member of New Bethel Church of the Brethren and Troutville Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed all sports, but especially fishing and being outdoors. He enjoyed feeding animals…all kinds of animals from strays to horses in pastures along the roadside.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife Dawn Worley Fralin and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Elizabeth Fralin of Elizabethton, Tennessee; daughters and son-in-law Jennifer Fralin and Jared Bennet, and Jamie Fralin all of Salem; his granddaughter Lilah Ruth; brothers and sisters-in-law Mark and Marcia Fralin of Daleville, William and Kate Fralin of Washington, DC, Jack and Dana Fralin of Roanoke; sisters Gale Fralin of Charleston, South Carolina and Jill Trivellin of Roanoke; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog Scruffy.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 3, at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville with Pastor Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Troutville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, 6-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Botetourt County 4-H, 9 West Main Street, Fincastle, Virginia 24090.
