Margaret Lucile Fleshman

Margaret Lucile Fleshman, age 103 of Botetourt County, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Margaret was born April 30, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Callie Gibson Jones. She lived in Botetourt County all of her life.

Margaret attended Cloverdale Church of the Brethren and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and working in her large vegetable garden well into her early 90’s. She cooked and sewed for many people in the Cloverdale area.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Leo B. Fleshman, and her sister, Virginia Jones Hogan. She is survived her son Jimmy (Donna) Fleshman of Cloverdale; granddaughter, Sherrye Fleshman of Blue Ridge; and great-granddaughters: Kaitlyn and Karley Burks; special friend, Florence Bowyer; and caregivers: Charlene Gaines and Debbie Dooley.

A service honoring her life will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 6 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Pastors T.G. Ayers and Jerry Marsh officiating. Burial will be at Daleville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday two hours prior to the service.
