James Edward “Jim” Walker, Jr., 40, of Troutville, died Friday, September 30, 2011.
Jim was born in Roanoke February 20, 1971 and lived in Botetourt all of his life. He was the son of James Edward and Lorene Jane Ayers Walker, Sr. of Troutville.
Jim was a stone mason for Little Jim’s Stone Yard and enjoyed collecting Camel brand memorabilia. He was a Three Stooges fan and loved his dog Hershey.
Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents James E. and Annie Ayers, and Arthur E. and Naomi G. Walker. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother Virginia Farrar of Roanoke; sisters and brothers-in-law Teresa and Barry Kinzie of Troutville, Virginia Darlene and Frank “Ed” McLaughlin of Buchanan, and Chassidy and Chris West of Troutville; nephews and nieces Michael and Matthew Morris, Charity Gaylor, Ian McLaughlin, Damion and Desirhea West; great-nephew Drew Morris; and best friend Larry Stump of Fincastle; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A service honoring his life will be Thursday, 2:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville with Reverend Dan Scott officiating. Burial will be at Lithia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 4-8 PM.
