Graham Ewen

Graham Ewen, 27 of Clifton Forge and formerly of Vinton and Daleville, died Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Graham arrived November 26, 1990 and was received with so much joy and love. Our sweet boy left us too soon with a hole in our hearts that even time will not heal. We will cherish the memories we made in the far too short 27 years we were privileged to share with Graham. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Graham was quick with a laugh or a smile and was happy when he could do something for others. He was happiest when he was off-roading in his crazy custom Subaru, or rescuing critters both great and small. We will miss his infectious laugh, beautiful smile, gentle spirit, and kind heart. The world is a better place because of the countless lives he touched and the ripples that will be felt for ages to come. We will be comforted by the legacy of caring and kindness he leaves behind.

Graham is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joel and Petra Ewen. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Tammy Mundy Ewen of Daleville; his sister Emma Ewen of Daleville; his maternal grandparents, Louis and Frances Mundy of Buchanan; uncle and aunt, Tommy and Jennifer Mundy of Buchanan; uncles, George Ewen of Boydton, Virginia and Alex Ewen of Beacon, New York; cousins Lauren, Grace, Brittany, Brian, Zach, and Julia; his aunt, Cathy Benson; and special family friend, Ronnie Farley.

A celebration of Graham’s life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 24 at Community School, 7815 Williamson Road, Roanoke, VA. The family will receive visitors at the school one hour prior to the celebration beginning at 1:00pm. All are welcome to share their memories and stories of Graham.

Graham’s family suggests memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York, New York 10005, or at afsp.org; or to League for Animal Protection, PO Box 561, Fincastle, VA 24090.
