Elaine Kaye Wilson Allred, 71, of Springwood, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at her home following a long illness.
Elaine was born November 30, 1945 in Greensboro, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Everett and Pauline Kinley Wilson. She lived in the Botetourt area since 1967.
Elaine loved gardening, making crafts, and her pets. She loved all animals. Elaine was a member of Botetourt Garden Club and attended Daleville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Wilson and is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael E. Allred; son Gabe Allred of Springwood; daughter and son-in-law Christa and Joshua Roberts of Lynchburg; and special niece, Lori Vestal.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, Elaine’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, National Kidney Foundation Finance Department 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016; or www.kidney.org/donate.
