Bonnie Marie Moody

Bonnie M. Moody, age 79 of Salem, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Lewis Gale Medical Center.

Bonnie is survived by one brother, Ronnie Clifton of Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry E. Moody; parents, Dan D. and Julie E. Brown Clifton, and a brother, Donald Clifton.

Bonnie is survived by her sons: Daniel (Melissa) Moody, Tom Saunders (Sabine Zizelman), David (Bettina) Saunders, Arles W. Saunders, and Tim D. (Margaret) Saunders. She was employed by the Fincastle Herald for 14 years and made many friends in the community.

She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren: Joshua (Hope) Moody, Kaitlyn (Caleb) Spencer, Bobby (Kelly) Zizelman, Mario (Kala) Saunders, Gino (Chelsea) Saunders, Mariye (Tyler) Murphy, Noelle (Antonio) Hinojos, Delanye Saunders, Brendan and Gavin Gall, Tim (Christina) Saunders, Jr. Also eight great-grandchildren: Hailey, Olivia, Benny, Hanna, Kersten, Reece, Cooper, and Audrey; a special cousin, Billie Greer; and a special friend/caregiver, Andi Weiler; numerous camping buddies who are very dear to her and her husband.

A funeral service honoring Bonnie’s life will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday November 7 at Rader Funeral Home 630 Roanoke Road Daleville. Burial will be at Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Eagle Rock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
